15-20cm. Semi-pendant succulent, with silvery frosted foliage, and silvery-pink flowers in late winter-spring. Flourishes in my cold greenhouse, just frost-free.

60-120 x 75cm. A clump-forming perennial with large attractive leaves, and bearing pale yellow flowers in late summer and autumn. Requires a lime-free, humus-rich soil, in a shady position.

100cm. Clump-forming, with blue-lilac flowers, mid-summer to autumn. Fertile, preferably alkaline soil in full sun. British native.
